Career: Has spent part of the past two seasons involved in USA Basketball activities. In 2009, he was the Americans' second-leading scorer on the U19 team which went 9-0 and captured the gold medal. In 2010, he returned as part of the U.S. "Select" team which scrimmaged for two weeks against the National team, comprised of professionals.
2010-11:
• All-SEC 1st team selection by the league's 12 head coaches. Second-team All-SEC by Associated Press.
• Pre-season All-America pick, 1st team All-SEC and SEC Player of the Year.
• Pre-season efforts were slowed considerably by a high sprain of his right ankle, incurred in a scrimmage on Oct. 30.
• Became the 40th player in UGA history to score 1,000 career points. Finished the season ranking 17th on the UGA career scoring chart.
• Team-high 25 points in win over Kentucky.
• His team-best 50 blocks is the most by a Georgia player in 15 years, going back to Terrell Bell's 83 blocks in 1996.
• Finished the season with his seventh double-double and a season high-matching 26 points in NCAA Tournament vs. Washington.
