Tamika Catchings Shines on All-Star Weekend

While Gerald Green and first-time All-Star Paul George represented Indiana in the dunk contest and NBA All-Star Game in Houston over the weekend, Fever star and 2012 WNBA Finals MVP Tamika Catchings also took part in All-Star weekend festivities and proved once again to be a shining star herself.

Catchings played in the Celebrity All-Star Game on Friday, teaming up with the Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook, former San Antonio Spurs players Sean Elliot and Bruce Bowen, and the fastest human being in the world, Olympic champion Usain Bolt, who dazzled the crowd with a two-handed breakaway dunk.

Though her East Team fell, 58-38, Catchings led all scorers and tied for the most rebounds in the game. After the game, ESPN SportsCenter anchor Stuart Scott said of Catchings that "there's no one better."

"It was fun," Catchings said of the celebrity game. "It's always a good time to come out here and you get to meet a lot of cool people."

Catchings also participated in the Sears Shooting Stars competition on Saturday night, in which she joined Brook Lopez of the Brooklyn Nets and former NBA star Mugsey Bogues in a shooting contest from six different spots on the court.
