Stuckey Thanks "Dew Crew" For a Great Season

After a successful inaugural year of the Rodney Stuckey's Crew Charged by Mountain Dew, the Pacers guard hosted the Mountain Dew Rodney Stuckey Fan Experience, an appreciation night for the "Dew Crew," fans that sat all season in the section of Bankers Life Fieldhouse that bears his name.

Only a select number of fans got to be members of the first edition of the "Dew Crew," and on Monday night, they met and hung out with Stuckey, as he wanted to give them a night to remember to thank them for their season-long support.

"It's awesome," Stuckey said of getting acquainted with all of the "Dew Crew" faithful. "No matter what, winning or losing, they are cheering us on. It's always good to have people behind you, real loyal committed fans that are rooting you on win or lose."

Stuckey took pictures and signed autographs for fans and led various basketball activities on the Pacers' home floor, including a free throw competition and 2-ball challenge. After, he treated everyone to dinner and held a Q & A session so the "Dew Crew" could get to know him a little better.

And though it was a night of appreciation, it more felt like family reunion to those in attendance. Yes the group has only been around for one season, but they already feel like old friends.

"We have a really good family up there," Erick Marquez Jr. said. "We all know each other and sit in same seats every game. We support each other while supporting the Pacers."

Paul Young agreed, saying, "There's just awesome camaraderie and family relationships that build in that area."

On top of the family sentiment, members of the “Dew Crew” just plain had fun throughout the season.

Superfan Bill Manlove could barely contain his excitement when asked about being a part of the section.

"Ohhh man," he said with a huge smile on his face while trying to think of the right words to describe the experience. "We get rowdy all night. You go up there, you get into it and it's insane. There isn't a more intense experience in the NBA."

Manlove's words rang true on Monday based on the passion and energy the "Dew Crew" showed while spending time with Stuckey.

And Stuckey, clearly invigorated by the fans, is ready for more. The plan is for the area to continue, backed with Stuckey's full support.

"Come out and join," he exclaimed. "It's a great experience. You get to root for us each and every game. It's definitely a good thing, and I don't know why people wouldn't want to join!"

Details about how to join the "Dew Crew" for next year will be announced as we get closer to the start of the 2016-17 season.
