When a team struggles, lineup changes are inevitable.
And so, riding a three-game losing streak into Tuesday's game in Toronto (7 p.m., Fox Sports Indiana, 1070 The Fan), the Pacers will have a new frontcourt. Troy Murphy will return to the power forward spot with Jeff Foster stepping in for Roy Hibbert at center.
Murphy's return slides Danny Granger back to his natural position at small forward and means a decision at shooting guard.
Brandon Rush opened the season as the starter but has struggled mightily, shooting .365 overall and 262 from the 3-point line. Dahntay Jones filled in at small forward the last eight games and averaged 18.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.63 blocked shots and shot 50 percent from the field.
Hibbert has been strong in the Pacers' five wins, averaging 14.6 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocked shots while shooting .608 from the field. But in the six losses, his numbers have dipped to 8.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and .458 shooting.
Getting Murphy back in the lineup could help restore order to an offense that ranks 18th in scoring (98.7) and 25th in 3-point percentage (.303), but the defense also needs some shoring up.
The Pacers have yielded 107.6 points in their six losses (16.4 more than in their victories) and opponents have shot .473. The Raptors (6-8) rank fourth in the league in scoring (106.3) and ninth in 3-point percentage (.403).
