Pacers Host 15th Annual "Come To Our House Dinner" Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Pacers continue a holiday tradition Thursday when Pacers player David West and his wife Lesley welcome more than 700 men, women and children from Indianapolis area missions and shelters to Bankers Life Fieldhouse for the 15th annual "Come To Our House" Thanksgiving dinner presented by US Foods. The dinner is part of Pacers Cares, and serves as the tipoff to the NBA Cares Season of Giving Campaign.

The dinner, prepared by Levy Restaurants, will be conducted in the Indiana University Health Entry Pavilion of Bankers Life Fieldhouse from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Team members, along with the Pacers' coaching and training staff, Boomer and the Pacemates, will serve dinner, mingle with guests and fill goody bags. Other special guests scheduled to attend are Alumni Pacers Darnell Hillman, Billy Keller and Jerry Harkness; Fever player Jeanette Pohlen, as well as Pacers Broadcasters Mark Boyle, Quinn Buckner, Chris Denari, Kevin Lee and Brooke Olzendam. Staff from both Pacers Sports & Entertainment and US Foods will also be on hand to help serve, as well as members of the local media.

Everyone in attendance will receive a Pacers backpack, along with the following items: Pacers hat, Fever scarf, gloves, handwarmers, fleece blankets, thermal socks, Hardee’s coupons and a duffel bag courtesy of St.Vincent. In addition, each person in attendance will also receive a ticket to the Pacers game on Dec. 5 against the Portland Trail Blazers. Indiana University Health will also be on hand conducting free blood pressure screenings.

In addition to David and Lesley West and US Foods, event sponsors include: Indiana University Health, Levy Restaurants, Tamika Catchings, Lin Dunn, Kelly Krauskopf, Pacers Foundation, Hardee’s and St.Vincent. Centers and missions invited include: The Wheeler Center, Dayspring Center, Dove Recovery House, Salvation Army, Good News Mission, Holy Family Shelter, Horizon House, HVAF, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Restoring Lives West, Seeds of Hope, Lutheran Child & Family Services, Coburn Place, Sheltering Wings, Shepherd Community Center, Stopover, The Julian Center and Wheeler Mission.

The event, which has taken place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse since 2001, is not open to the public and participants must have a special wristband for admittance. Media members are encouraged to attend.
