Pacers Hold Fourth Predraft Workouts

The Pacers bring in IUPUI standout Alex Young

by Jeff Tzucker | June 18, 2012

On Monday, the Indiana Pacers held their fourth predraft workout in the lead-up to the 2012 NBA Draft. The invitees had a decidedly Midwestern feel when IUPUI's Alex Young, Louisville's Kyle Kuric, and Miami (Ohio)'s Julian Mavunga made the trip to Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Mavunga was a graduate of Brownsburg High School, a teammate of Gordon Hayward's, and a member of Brownsburg's 2008 Indiana State Championship team crowned here in Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Rounding out the six participants were Reggie Hamilton (Oakland University), Hollis Thompson (Georgetown), and Ricardo Ratliffe (Missouri). Mavunga, Thompson, and Ratliffe are all forwards, Hamilton is a guard, while Young and Kuric are G/F swingman.

Kuric took the place of Tu Holloway (Xavier), who was originally scheduled appear.

As has been the case for each workout so far, the players took part in 3-on-3 scrimmages with instruction by Coach Vogel.
