Jim O'Brien
Scouting Report
With three wins in four games, the Pacers (19-28) have had a very good week. Their game tonight offers them the opportunity to make it – and the month, for that matter -- exceptional. The Pacers are 9-7 in January, undefeated in seven home games. Already, it is their winningest month since November 2006. A victory would give them their first 10-win month since November 2004. Though Danny Granger may not play due to bruise below his right knee, the Pacers are otherwise healthy. Their strong month began with a 105-103 victory in New York on Jan. 2 delivered by Jarrett Jack's 3-pointer in the final second. The Knicks (20-25) also are coming on strong with five wins in six games and seven in 10.

T.J. Ford
Point Guard
When his back spasmed minutes before tipoff Friday night, T.J. Ford was replaced in the lineup by Jack. It remains to be seen how much of a setback the most recent back problem will be. Ford had totaled 57 points on 23-of-33 shooting (.697) in his previous two starts and appeared to be finally rid of the issue. Chris Duhon (12.7 points, 8.0 assists) has had a very solid year for the Knicks but Jack victimized his cousin for the game-winner in the last meeting.

Mike Dunleavy
Shooting Guard
Mike Dunleavy's 30-point outburst against Miami may have been a warmup game for his favorite opponent. He averaged 31.3 points in four games against the Knicks last season, scoring 36 three times as the Pacers swept the series. The big game against Miami coincided with the removal of his 28-minute restriction and he showed a much greater comfort level with what amounts to a return to full-time status. Quentin Richardson is known as a tough defensive player who poses a 3-point threat but he's been in a slump of late, shooting just. 333 in the last five games.

Danny Granger
Small Forward
After struggling through 34 minutes and 6-of-17 shooting against Miami Friday night, Granger listed his chances of playing tonight as "50-50" thanks to the lingering pain of a bruise below his right knee. The injury has had a major impact on his shooting stroke; he's 55-of-157 (.350) in his last eight games. If he can't go, Jim O'Brien could start Jack at shooting guard and move Dunleavy to small forward. He needs a strong defender against Al Harrington, who has come to life since being dealt from the Warriors to the Knicks, averaging 20.2 points with New York.

Troy Murphy
Power Forward
This will be a matchup to watch. Both Troy Murphy and David Lee are double-double factories. Murphy has 25 on the season and 13 in his last 18 games. He's on pace for career highs in 3-point percentage (.422) and rebounds (11.4). Lee has 34 double-doubles, second in the NBA, and 31 in his last 34 games. In the last five, he has averaged 19.6 points and 13.8 rebounds while shooting .571 from the field.

Jeff Foster
Center
Jeff Foster has battled foul problems much of the season but lately it has reached a new level. In the last two games, Foster has racked up nine fouls in 43 minutes. The Pacers need his interior defense and offensive rebounding, though they do have plenty of options at the position with Rasho Nesterovic and Roy Hibbert. The Knicks start a small lineup with former Indiana University standout Jared Jeffries (4.4 points, 4.3 rebounds) in the middle.

Maceo Baston
Bench
An afterthought at the end of the bench most of the season, Maceo Baston has returned to the rotation and produced 12 points and seven rebounds in 19 minutes against the Heat. He had totaled 14 points and eight rebounds in his other eight appearances of the season. Marquis Daniels has struggled to 1-of-10 shooting in the last two. Nesterovic has made 14-of-19 shots (.737) in his last four games, producing 29 points in 58 minutes. The Knicks' surge has been fueled in part by sparkplug Nate Robinson, who has averaged 21 points on .528 shooting overall and .414 from the 3-point line in the last five. He's one of three double-digit scorers on the bench, joining forwards Wilson Chandler (13.8) and Tim Thomas (10.1).
