NBA Comparison: Luther Head
Strengths: The Purdue senior finished his season averaging just 6.6 points per game, largely due to, junior, E'twaun Moore. That being said, Grant was one of the most efficient players under Head Coach Matt Painter having played in all but two games during his four years with the Boilermakers. Aside from his durability, Grant also possesses the ability to play both the one and two guard position. He is a strong perimeter defender and had his best year as a sophomore when he averaged 11.2 points per game.
Weaknesses: Despite Grant's efficiency, a knee surgery before his junior year allowed Coach Painter to pass the guard torch to E'twaun Moore. Losing his role as the go-to-guard, Grant's shooting percentage, especially his three-point percentage, diminished from his sophomore to senior year. In last year's NCAA Tournament Grant had two poor outings against Texas A&M and Duke. He fouled out in the Sweet 16 Duke game, the last of his career, with six points on 2-8 shooting.
