As a Junior (2012-13 Season): Led the Aztecs in scoring (17.0), rebounding (9.5), assists (3.3) and steals average (1.6), which made him the only Division I player in America to lead his team in all four categories. Franklin, who was an all-Mountain West first-team performer for the second consecutive season, helped the Aztecs secure their third NCAA tournament win in the last three years with the team's 70-55 victory over Oklahoma... For his 87-game San Diego State career, Franklin started the final 55 games in which he saw action and played in 68 SDSU wins, which is the 11th-most in program history, and averaged 13.6 points and 7.0 rebounds. He finishes his career ranked among the top 20 in school history in points (1,181 - 17th), rebounds (605 - 14th), three-point field goals (100 - 13th), free-throw percentage (.7825 - 10th), blocked shots (51 - T-16th), efficiency points (1,282 - 13th), points-rebounds-assists (1,952 - 10th), and conference wins (28 - 15th)... Accolades wise, Franklin has a number of them, including being a two-time AP All-American, the first at San Diego State since Michael Cage accomplished the feat in 1983 and 1984. Franklin is also a two-time first-team all-Mountain West selection, NABC all-district performer and Basketball Times all-district player, and a member of the 2012 USBWA all-district squad.

Named Mountain West Player of the Year to become the second Aztec player to earn the honor (Brandon Heath, 2006)... Was the first sophomore to earn the honor since Utah's Andrew Bogut was named the league's player of the year in 2005...
