"Indiana Heroes" serves as one of the premier community outreach programs of the Pacers. This program honors those individuals who have made an overwhelming impact on the lives of others and who, through their unique commitment and humanitarian spirit, have made exceptional and lasting contributions to our community and state.
Award recipients will be chosen on an on-going basis throughout the season by a selection committee, who, based on their sole opinion, will select the best nominee from those eligible nominations submitted. Each award recipient receives four tickets to a Pacers home game, a "medal of honor," recognition during a special on-court presentation, and a commemorative photo.
Anyone can nominate someone who is making a difference - a neighbor, friend or relative who is a firefighter, policeman, rescue worker, or just an everyday hero like a teacher, nurse or community leader.
Nominations must include the nominee's name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, and phone number (e-mail address is optional), along with a short description of why their nominee deserves to be honored (Click here for nomination form).
The nomination should include examples of the nominee's level of commitment as well as any lasting contributions to the community.
Nomination forms for the 2007-08 season are being accepted through February 29, 2008 and may be submitted via e-mail to IndianaHeroes@pacers.com or via regular mail to:
