Get to Know Your Starting Five Staff | May 21, 2013

Pacers fans, your Indiana Pacers were back in the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2004. A huge reason for the success of the 2012-13 team has been the play of the starting five. George Hill, Lance Stephenson, Paul George, David West, and Roy Hibbert have excelled individually and as a unit.

Perhaps the best evidence of each starter's importance came in the Eastern Conference Semifinal series against the New York Knicks. All five starters led Indiana in scoring in at least one of the six games, demonstrating remarkable balance. After the Pacers closed out the series in Game 6, all five starters attended the postgame press conference (video above), a rare occurrence in the modern NBA.

The Pacers' starters logged an astounding 1218 minutes together on the court during the 2012-13 regular season, the most minutes of any five-man lineup in the Eastern Conference. With an average age of merely 26, this group figures to have a major impact on the NBA for many years to come.

In order to help you learn more about this group, we've put together a brief story on each member of the starting five along with video highlights and photo galleries for each member of the starting five right here on Be sure to check out each player's page below:
