Career Highlights:
A Wooden Award All-America selection as a junior. Earned Third Team All-America honors by The Associated Press as a junior. Earned First Team All-ACC honors as a junior. Started 79 of 103 games played. Ranks 20th all-time in school history with 69 blocks. Ranks 39th all-time at Duke with 1,262 points.
Junior (2008-09):
Led team in scoring (16.5 ppg), while ranking second in rebounding (4.9 rpg), second in assists (2.5 apg), second in field-goal percentage (.450), and third in steals (1.2 spg). Started 36 of 37 games played, scoring in double figures 31 times including 10 games with 20 or more points. Scored a career-high 35 points on 11-for-15 shooting from the filed and 12-for-14 from the free throw line against Wake Forest. Grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds while also adding 21 points against Florida State. Dished out a career-high six assists while adding 21 points against Virginia Tech.
Sophomore (2007-08):
Ranked third on team in scoring (12.7 ppg), third in rebounding (4.7 rpg), and second in field-goal percentage (.474). Started 33 of 34 games played, scoring in double figures 25 times, including four games with 20 or more points. Scored a season- high 23 points in two separate games, against Illinois and Maryland. Grabbed a season- high nine rebounds against North Carolina. Scored 21 points against Belmont in the NCAA Tournament, followed by 18 points against West Virginia.
Freshman (2006-07):
Averaged 6.8 points and 2.9 rebounds while shooting .451 from the field. Started 10 of 32 games, scoring in double figures seven times. Scored a season-high 16 points against North Carolina, after scoring 15 the previous game against Maryland.
Strengths:
Athletic scoring guard with a versatile offensive game. Capable of scoring from all areas of the floor, especially with his dynamic mid-range game. A strong defender with good lateral quickness and fundamentals. A good rebounder for his size and position.
Personal:
Son of Gerald, Sr. and Marie Henderson. Father was a 13-year NBA veteran who won three NBA championships with the Celtics and Pistons. Majoring in Psychology.
