With the #2 pick in the 2009 NBA Draft the Memphis Grizzlies pick Hasheem Thabeet. Thabeet's potential is endless and with Ricky Rubio obviously not wanting to come to Memphis, the Grizzlies are happy to add the 7'3" bigman to their roster.

The Oklahoma City Thunder select Ricky Rubio. We are intriuged by the young man's playmaking ability and believe he'll be an excellent point guard. We would be open to trading this pick to any interested teams.

The #5 pick by the Washington Wizards goes to Demar DeRozan. I selected DeRozan at this spot for the Wizards for 2 reasons stemming from one cause. The cause being the rumors of Washington looking to trade out. DeRozan athletic ability is going to fit nicely on any squad in the league. If Washington can't get some of the teams drafting later that really like this guy to make a trade, then I see nothing better than keeping this guy around as the consolation prize. He is the best all around athlete in the draft in my opinion.

With the 8th pick in the NBA Draft the New York Knicks select PG Jrue Holiday. Holiday is a physical player with the ability to get to the basket, shoot and play defense. He's got tremendous upside. He'd be a great contributor if the Knicks grab Lebron next off-season. Brandon Jennings and James Harden were of interest as well.

With the 10th pick in the 2009 NBA draft the Milwaukee Bucks select DeJuan Blair out of Pittsburgh. We believe he is a great fit on our team and even though he is a little short we think his wingspan will help Andrew Bogut tremendously down low.

OK, we all agree Harden shouldn't still be on the board. ... but there's so much uncertainty about this draft -- much moreso than usual -- one or two guys are going to slide Thursday night. So whether it's Harden or not, there's definitely going to be a name sitting in the 10-12 range none of the experts projected. Remember Jerryd Bayless.

With the #20 pick in the 2009 Draft the Utah Jazz pick Tyler Hansbrough. The Jazz needed a backup at point or some length in the middle since the playoffs showed the lack of second chance points for the Jazz. So my choice was dependent on the best player available at the #20 pick. Discussion time!

If the Pacers stay at 13, unless a top-8 guy slides into their lap, they'll pick from their workout group. Keep in mind, of the 42 guys they worked out, only 14 were first-round prospects, so it seems pretty clear they're looking hard at the possibility of moving back for multiple picks.

Here are the rumors that could affect the Pacers ... other than the Bulls' deal (16 and 26 to move into the lottery), Houston wants to get into the lottery and is offering Landry for a middle pick and maybe Landry and McGrady for a top-five ...
