Indianapolis, February 19, 2003-
Pacers’ center Brad Miller donated $5,000 to the city of Butler’s South Side Park project, located north of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The $5,000 came from his earnings for participating in the 2003 NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 9.
“This was an opportunity for me to give back to the community and help create a place where children can play and enjoy themselves,” said Miller. “The support I have received throughout my career from this community has been tremendous and this is a way that I can repay them for that.”
Miller has made several donations to parks throughout northeast Indiana.
