Pacers Announce "Blood Drive to the Hoop" with the Indiana Blood Center

March 14, 2011

The Indiana Pacers have teamed up with the Indiana Blood Center to create “Blood Drive to the Hoop”, a blood drive that will be held at Conseco Fieldhouse on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event is produced through the Pacers Cares Non-Profit Spotlight Program, presented by Cummins.

Anyone who participates as a donor in the Blood Drive will receive either one Lucas Oil Family Night game ticket to the Pacers game vs. Sacramento that evening or a ticket to the Pacers game against Atlanta on April 8. The package also includes a free t-shirt and a food voucher – good for a hot dog, bag of chips and a small Pepsi product, along with the option to purchase additional tickets.

“The Pacers are very proud of our community involvement in so many projects,” said Pacers Sports & Entertainment President Jim Morris. “But this project is so important and so special. Blood makes the body work. And healthy bodies make communities special.”

The Indiana Blood Center is a vital link in Indiana’s health care infrastructure, supplying more than 550 units of blood to more than 60 Indiana hospitals every day. The nonprofit community service organization was founded in 1952 to provide a continuous, safe and adequate supply of blood products and testing services.

The “Blood Drive to the Hoop” will be held in the Indiana University Health Entry Pavilion at Conseco Fieldhouse.
