In one short season with the Pacers, Lou Amundson quickly became a fan favorite. From the loud "LOOOOU" cheers whenever he contributed, to the ponytail shirt that was sold in the team gift shop, he was a guy fans rallied behind. He provided energy off the bench and was willing to get in the paint to do the dirty work.

According to Chris Tomasson of FOX Sports Florida, Amundson has been willing to listen to any and all offers, but unfortunately there wasn’t anything too intriguing. The good news is Tomasson reports that Amundson has agreed to sign with the Timberwolves just one week before training arrives.

Amundson further boosts Minnesota’s frontcourt of Kevin Love, Derrick Williams, Greg Stiemsma and Nikola Pekovic. His one-year deal is guaranteed, for the minimum of $1.07 million.

Last season, Amundson averaged 3.5 points and 3.7 rebounds in less than 13 minutes per game with the Pacers.

The 6-9 forward was acquired on December 18, 2011 in a trade with Golden State for Brandon Rush.
