Television Host and Sideline Reporter
In 2004, Stacy Paetz joined Fox Sports Net and the Indiana Pacers. She became the youngest person and only female in the NBA to hold both studio host and sideline reporting duties. Paetz made her first on-air appearance on ESPN2 when she was only 19-years-old. After receiving her BA from Ball State University, Stacy went on to become a Production Assistant at the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Ga. She continued to work for ESPN in production for the Summer X Games, the Great Outdoor Games and Sunday Night NFL.
Paetz became the feature reporter and co-producer of The Indianapolis Star/News High School Sports Show on the Indianapolis NBC affiliate. After just two seasons, she became the host of ESPN Scholastic Sports America, a weekly show dedicated to the top high school athletes in the nation.
Since her time as host of ESPN’s SSA, Paetz has worked the sidelines of ESPN’s College Football, Women’s College World Series, Little League World Series, NCAA Men’s Soccer Championships and NCAA Men's Basketball. She’s filled the role of host for NCAA Women's soccer, volleyball and softball selection shows, Inside the Colts, CART Friday Night and Splash TV with America’s Olympic swimmers.
Paetz also mentors children and speaks to various organizations around the country each year. Her most treasured affiliations are church and community services. She is on the Board of Directors of the John H. Stewart Foundation for Disadvantaged Children; the Board of Advisors for Stedman Graham and Athletes Against Drugs; Stan’s Sandlot Baseball Ministry; the Just Say Know program, established by Colorado State running back, Marcus Houston; and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
