Stacy Austin

Originally from the Ft. Wayne area, Stacy Austin has an extensive background in tap, jazz & modern dance as well as teaching, performing and choreography.

Stacy began her training at The Fort Wayne School of Dance (originally Bordner School of Dance) and continued her training with the Jordan K Dance Studio and Indiana University. After spending two years as a professional cheerleader/dancer with the Indianapolis Colts, Stacy became a member of the Indiana Pacemates in 1992. After spending nine seasons with the Pacemates, Stacy took over the reigns as choreographer in 2001.

Now in her second season as choreographer, Stacy has brought a lot of experience and high energy dancing to the team of 14 young women. The Pacemates were recently voted one of the top dance team’s in the NBA and continue to bring great entertainment to the Pacers fans! During her years as a performer with the Colts Cheerleaders & Indiana Pacemates, Stacy also spent seven years as a tap & jazz instructor with Barb & Co. Dance Studio in Indianapolis.

Stacy is also the choreographer of the WNBA’s Indiana Fever dance team, the Fever Inferno. This hip-hop dance team mixed of male & female young adults, performs at all Indiana Fever home games.

In her spare time, Stacy does modeling for the Helen Wells Agency in Indianapolis. She has appeared in national print ads and commercials for companies such Wink-Ease and McDonald’s.

Stacy currently resides in Fishers, IN and was recently married to her husband, Rob, in August of 2001.
