RHI PACERS WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL TEAM
Each year the Indiana Pacers provide sponsorship dollars to help fund the RHI Pacers Wheelchair Basketball Team.
The RHI Pacers are a Division II team that is part of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association. In addition to participating in NWBA tournaments throughout the Midwest, the RHI Pacers also sends a team representative to participate in the NWBA All-Star Game, held each February prior to the NBA All-Star Weekend.
The RHI Pacers also hold team practices at Conseco Fieldhouse once a month, as well as participate in on-court demonstrations during halftime of select Pacers games.
GET PACERS FIT
In the Summer of 2008 the Indiana Pacers will launch Get Pacers Fit. The goal of the program is to encourage proper nutrition and exercise in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and avoid the current obesity trend.
Get Pacers Fit is an online program only, providing tips on how to eat right, nutritional recipes, exercise of the week and more. Fans will have the opportunity to submit their favorite nutritional recipe and have it posted on the Pacers website.
