Reflection time after another trip to the NBA Summer League

With my third trip to the NBA Summer League in the books, it’s time for a quick reflection.

Our 1-4 record certainly fell short of expectations when we began practicing two weeks back, but there are still a lot of positives to be taken from our trip to Las Vegas.

One of the biggest things that my teammates and I can take away from the experience is the guidance and teaching we got from our coaches throughout the process. The philosophies and disciplines we learned at both ends of the court are exactly what Coach Shaw wants to see from us next season. That helped a lot in my progression as a member of the Denver Nuggets.

I appreciated all the well-wishes from fans after I was injured in Game 4. It wasn’t an ideal situation, but I still learned a lot and was able to sit on the bench and root for my team in the fifth and final game. When I landed on my ankle, I feared it was going to be much worse than it turned out to be, so I’m thankful it was just a sprain. Soon, I’ll be able to get back on the court and keep working on my game to prepare for the upcoming season.

Lastly, I want to say thanks again to all you fans out there who tuned in to our games and checked out my Summer League diary here on Nuggets.com. I really appreciate all your continued support and I can’t wait for the regular season to get here so we can show you what kind of team we are capable of being!

And, oh yeah … GO NUGGETS!!
