Nigeria’s Masai Ujiri may be the Denver Nuggets General Manager, but he has never forgotten where he came from. Every August Ujiri embarks on a journey throughout Africa participating in various basketball camps and coaching clinics. The culmination of such usually comes at the end of the month when he heads to Johannesburg for the annual Basketball without Borders. This year will see the tenth anniversary of the BWB camp and Masai Ujiri will lead it once again as Camp Director.
With the 2011-12 season in the books and 2012-13 approaching, Nuggets.com is taking a closer at the team’s primary rotation players and how they fared during a challenging 66-game schedule. Denver assistant coach John Welch was kind enough to provide candid assessments, which reflect the views of the Nuggets coaching staff as a whole.
Today’s featured player is center JaVale McGee, who made the most of a fresh start in Denver after being acquired from the Washington Wizards as part of a three-team trade on March 15.

After eight years in the City of Brotherly Love, Andre Iguodala is seeking another long-term relationship – this time with the Denver Nuggets.
Iguodala made it clear that he considers Denver to be an NBA destination city during his introductory press conference Thursday at Pepsi Center.
Though he can opt out of the final year of his contract next summer, the All-Star swingman said he could see himself finishing his career with the Nuggets.
Nuggets G/F Andre Iguodala met the Denver media for the first time Thursday during an introductory press conference at Pepsi Center. He was joined by Nuggets president Josh Kroenke and executive vice president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri.
