Valentine’s Day is upon us. For many Nuggets fans, that means continuing their love affair with the NBA.

Mid-February also means a chance for most players and coaches to catch their collective breath during the All-Star break and fans to prepare themselves for a two-month sprint toward the playoffs.

The Nuggets (33-21) are in an enviable position as they head into the break They are fifth in the Western Conference with a talented roster equipped to compete in the postseason for the 10th consecutive year.

DENVER, Feb. 13, 2013 – The Denver Nuggets have recalled F Quincy Miller and G Julyan Stone from the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri announced today.

Miller, 6-10, 219, averaged 11.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.39 blocks in 23 games (14 starts) for Iowa. Selected by the Nuggets 38th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft, he has appeared in one game for Denver this season.


No matter the level, there’s nothing sweeter than winning.

And the Iowa Energy have not been winning.

Less than two years removed from capturing the NBA Development League title, the Energy are in a transitional period. They recently made a coaching change and are also trying to incorporate five new players, including Denver Nuggets guard Julyan Stone, who is on assignment from the NBA.
