The stat line was irrelevant.

After playing in an NBA game for the first time in six months, Wilson Chandler was just happy to be back on the court.

The Denver Nuggets forward took another step in his return from hip surgery Wednesday night when he made his preseason debut against the Portland Trail Blazers. Chandler grabbed four rebounds but did not score in 12 minutes.

The accolades just keep coming for Andre Iguodala.

In recognition of winning the gold medal with Team USA at the 2012 London Olympics, the Denver Nuggets swingman will be inducted into the University of Arizona Ring of Honor on Sunday.

Iguodala became the first former Arizona men’s basketball player to capture Olympic gold, making him eligible to be the 20th member of the school’s Ring of Honor.

Other members include former NBA champions Jud Buechler, Sean Elliott, Steve Kerr, Jason Terry and Luke Walton.

Two weeks, three games and 10 practices down. Two weeks, four games and eight practices to go.

The Nuggets are 3-0 as they reach the midway point of the preseason. Records, of course, mean little once the regular season opens in Philadelphia on Halloween, but Denver is starting to answer some of the questions it had at the start of training camp.

Near the top of that list was how newcomer Andre Iguodala would adjust to his new teammates after coming from Philadelphia to Denver on Aug. 10.

The answer so far: “Very well, thank you.”
