You Asked, Harris Answered

Yesterday, fans were encouraged to submit questions for the Nuggets rookie on Facebook. Today, Harris answered some of their questions.

If you were magically transformed from a Denver Nugget into a chicken nugget… What sauce would you prefer to be dipped in?

A mix between barbecue and hot sauce.

What do you like most about Denver?

I like the city. It’s a cool city.

What are you most grateful for?

My family.

Do you have a nickname that you go by yet?

I go by G, G-Money, just something like that.

Biggest player inspiration growing up?

That’s tough, you know. I’ve just been a fan of the game my entire life, not a particular player.

How would you define a successful rookie season for yourself?

Making the playoffs. Just trying to do whatever I can to help the team win.

When did you start getting serious about basketball?

Probably my sophomore year of high school.

Who’s your favorite all-time player?

My mom.

What do you think about Jusuf Nurkic?

He’s fun. He’s hilarious – definitely one of the funniest dudes on the team.

Why did you want to play basketball?

It’s all I’ve known. I grew up with a basketball in my hand.

What is the best advice your parents have given you about being pro?

Just keep working. Never get satisfied.

What or who led you to be where you are today?

My parents have been two great figures in my life and always kept me on the right track, and kept me motivated and pushed me forward.

Who do you look forward to playing against?

Everybody. Keep it simple.

How many hours do you work out?

That’s hard – it depends on the week. Some weeks more than others.

What’s the first thing you bought with your check?

I haven’t bought anything big yet besides my car and my apartment.

What’s the hardest part about transitioning from the college game to the pro game?

It’s a lot more responsibility. You’re on your own a lot more.

What would you be doing if you weren’t in the NBA?

I don’t even know. Who knows? Probably something around sports though.

What’s your favorite Nuggets’ moment off the court?

Just being with the guys on the road trips, hanging out with them, getting to know everybody.
