Nuggets open 2011-12 training camp at Pepsi Center
Intial roster includes seven 2010-11 returnees, two free-agent invitees
DENVER, Dec. 9, 2011 – The Denver Nuggets will open training camp with 11 players after signing G Cory Higgins and G Julyan Stone.
Higgins, 6-5, 185, averaged 12.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in five games with the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development league this season. He was an All-Big 12 third-team selection after averaging 16.1 points as a senior at the University of Colorado in 2010-11.
Stone, 6-7, 200, broke Tim Hardaway’s school career assist record during his four seasons at UTEP. He averaged 8.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists during his senior season with the Miners.
