Nenê and Brazil at Tournament of Americas

Denver Nuggets F/C Nenê is representing his native Brazil at the Tournament of the Americas from August 20-31 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Brazil, the United States and teams representing eight other nations from North America, South America and the Carribean are competing in the tournament in an attempt to qualify for the 2004 Summer Olympics to be held in Athens, Greece. The top three finishers automatically qualify for the Olympics.

Nenê is joined on Brazil's team by Phoenix Suns rookie Leandrinho Barbosa. Brazil took home the gold medal at the Pan-American games that were held in the Dominican Republic last month.
