Nuggets Selling Season Tickets at Record Pace
DENVER, Sept. 15 -- The Denver Nuggets have sold season tickets at a record pace this summer, Paul Andrews, Executive Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer for Kroenke Sports Enterprises announced today.
“Denver Nuggets fans are extremely excited about the upcoming season,” said Andrews. “We’re definitely seeing the results of the momentum that was built by the 32-8 finish a year ago.”
The Nuggets sold 220 10-game packages in the first week of September, the most sold in the first week of September since 1994. The team expects to sell a franchise-record 7,000 10-game packages. The season ticket base is approaching 9,000 and is expected reach 10,000 by the start of the season – the highest since 1994.
Good seats are still available for both season tickets and 10-game packages. However, fans are encouraged to order today to assure seat locations. For more information on season tickets and 10-game packages call 303-405-1212.
The Nuggets finished with a record of 49-33 last season – the fourth-most wins in franchise history. After George Karl took over as head coach in late January, the team went 32-8, including a 19-1 mark at the Pepsi Center. The 32-8 record was the best in NBA history for a coach who took over in the middle of a season (minimum 20 games).
