Prospect Q&A: Stanton Kidd

By Leonard Davis and Steven Blevins

Q: “What does it feel like watching your basketball career start in junior college, to D-1 and now working out for the Nuggets in the NBA?”

A: “One word, blessing. It’s a blessing, I am thankful for these guys bringing me in to workout. It’s my first one, and coming into the end of the season I didn’t really know if I was going to get a workout or anything like that, but everything worked out and I am glad to be here.”

Q: “With not knowing what to expect, how do you think you performed?”

A: “Yeah I think I prepared really well. I asked a lot of questions to guys I know in the league, and they said to bring a high motor, high intensity and it will get you through. With the shooting drills, I feel like I focused on that and I think I did pretty well.”

Q: “Did you try and showcase a specific skill set?”

A: “No, I am just coming in overall, trying to give a high motor and high intensity. I am trying to be active on defense and play both sides of the ball.”

Q: “Do you have any other workouts planned this summer?”

A: “Not that I know of, I don’t know about any other workouts, but hopefully some more come down the line. I am going to head back to Baltimore soon, visit my grandma, family, get rolling out there with training and hopefully some things pull through.”
