Prospect Q&A: Josh Scott

What do you want the Nuggets organization and the fans here in Denver to know about you?
I love Colorado and I love Denver. I got as much love as they do for the city and for the organization.

If drafted, how you do see yourself fitting into the Nuggets roster?
I’m just going to come in and whatever they need me to do, I’m going to do. That’s up to smarter, wiser minds than me to determine where I fit in.

Who do you most compare your game to in the NBA right now?
Honestly I don’t know. A lot of people call me baby Tim Duncan. I would never compare myself to him. He’s an all-time great. But I hear that comparison a lot and that’s what I’ve heard.

What are your main areas of focus going into these workouts?
I just want to continue to get stronger and I have to get bigger. They were a little worried about my athleticism but it got me through high school and got me through college. They like how I compete and how I rebound.

You’re homegrown. What would it mean for you to play for the Nuggets, growing up in Colorado and playing for Lewis-Palmer and then CU?
It’d be surreal. I’ve been watching them since I was a kid. It gives me goosebumps. Chauncey [Billups] did it. It would be a blessing. It’d be a dream for sure.

What’d you think of the Nuggets this year?
They got some young talent. I like their style of play and they use the altitude to their advantage.
