Prospect Q&A: Jerian Grant

By Leonard Davis and Steven Blevins

Q: “You had a great season last year, and big part of Notre Dame’s success. This is after battling through some adversity your junior year, showing some resilience. Did you feel like this was a perfect season to really show who are to NBA teams before the draft?”

A: “I wouldn’t say perfect, obviously we wanted to win a national championship, but it was definitely up there. I got to come back and be a leader, and do some special stuff, it was a great run.”

Q: “You are no stranger to the NBA. Your younger brother plays in Philadelphia, your Dad played in the NBA, and your Uncle Horace Grant is a four time NBA champion. What advice, if any, did they give you as you heading into this process?”

A: “Just to compete, play hard. They know what you can do, so just come out and play hard.”

Q: “You have worked out with a few teams already, does your goal in each workout change based on the team, and what they might be looking for, or do you come in with a general idea on how you want to perform?”

A: “I come out just trying to play my game. Once I get on a team that’s when I will translate my game, but right now I just go out there and do what I do.”

Q: “What is one thing you want the Nuggets organization and the fans here in Denver to know about you?”

A: “I am all about winning. The most important thing when you are playing this team sport is to win and I’ll do whatever I have to do to help my team win.”

Q: “What does the rest of your summer look like heading into the draft?”

A: “More workouts, I have a lot more workouts left, and then the draft. So we will see what happens.”
