Offseason Q&A: Danilo Gallinari

How was your summer?

My summer was great. I had the chance to spend a lot of time with my family, my friends. I was traveling all over Europe for vacation. I had the chance to work out a lot. So it was a great summer, the first time in awhile because I always play with the national team in the summer so I never have time, it’s nonstop for me. This summer was different.

What was your goal for the offseason?

The goal is to get back to the level I was at when I was last on the court, so to be ready for training camp. That was the goal and that still is the goal. We are right on track.

What do you think you improved on the most this offseason?

I improved on my guitar game, golf game, tennis game. But I improved a lot on, you know, I was trying to work on my body in general, try to be a little stronger and keeping the same weight and be able just to play basketball again.

How did your workout go today?

My workout was very good today. Unfortunately, I have this bad thing that I have to work with Steve Hess every day. But unfortunately they gave him a long contract with the Nuggets, so I guess I have to see him for awhile.

What are you focusing on before training camp?

To get my confidence back, my basketball court confidence back. I’m trying to play 2-on-2, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 before training camp.
