Nuggets at Bucks Recap

MILWAUKEE (AP) Greg Monroe scored 18 points and Milwaukee forced 24 turnovers that led to 35 points in a 92-74 victory over Denver, sending the Nuggets to their seventh consecutive loss.

Jabari Parker had 16 points and Michael Carter-Williams added 12 points and nine assists for Milwaukee, which won for only the second time in eight games.

Danilo Gallinari scored 13 points and Kenneth Faried added 11 for Denver, which managed just 30 points in the second half after scoring only five in the third quarter of its previous game, a 92-81 loss at Dallas on Saturday.

It was the most points allowed off turnovers this season by the Nuggets, who shot 3 of 4 to open the second half and took a 54-51 lead on Gallinari's 3-pointer with 8:19 left in the third quarter.

That's when Milwaukee took control of the game, scoring 10 consecutive points to take the lead for good. Carter-Williams scored on a layup to make it 55-54, and the Bucks never trailed again.

Carter-Williams, who came off the bench for the second consecutive game after starting most of the season, then found Monroe for an easy layup and Giannis Antetokounmpo for a dunk during the key streak. Milwaukee led 67-60 after three quarters.

The Bucks opened the fourth on an 11-4 run to extend the lead to 78-64 on Parker's 6-foot jumper with 6:56 left, and Denver never came within single digits the rest of the game.
During the seven-game losing streak, Denver is averaging 51 points in the first half and 39 in the second half.
Rookie guard Emmanuel Mudiay led the way with five turnovers for Denver.

Carter-Williams made a 5-foot jumper with 5 seconds left in the second quarter to give Milwaukee a 46-44 lead at halftime.
