Nuggets Sign Miller to Offer Sheet
DENVER (July 16, 2003) -- The Denver Nuggets have signed free-agent guard Andre Miller to an offer sheet, General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe announced today. Per team policy, terms of the offer were not released.
Per NBA rules, the Los Angeles Clippers have 15 days to match the Nuggets offer for Miller due to his status as a restricted free agent.
Miller, 6-2, 200 lbs. out of Utah, averaged 13.6 ppg, 6.7 apg, 4.0 rpg and 1.24 spg in 80 games for the Clippers last season. He led the NBA in assists in 2001-02 with Cleveland, averaging 10.9 apg along with 16.5 ppg. He also earned NBA All-Rookie First Team honors in ‘99-00 with the Cavaliers. Over his four-year career, Miller has averaged 14.3 ppg, 7.9 apg and 4.1 rpg while missing just three games.
