Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin joined community leaders at Montbello High School for an anti-gang violence assembly on Sept. 13. The assembly, labeled “Rally to ‘Pass’ on Violence,” was coordinated by the Youth Counseling and Intervention Program (YCIP) and hosted by Denver Public High Schools.

The Nuggets were one of 16 teams to take part in the 2006 Toshiba Vegas Summer League. Led by Casey Jacobsen and Kelena Azubuike's 16.4 ppg apiece, the Nuggets finished in second place with a record of 4-1.
