Get to Know the Newest Nugget Nelson

How was it to reunite with Arron in Denver?

Arron's a good guy. I always liked Arron. Our time in Orlando was good together. It's weird that we're back together.

Being that you have championship experience, what would be the best advice for our players who have yet to have that experience?

You just gotta do your job. You have to prepare like every possession really matters because it does in the playoffs. I think you should prepare like that in the regular season.

What do you think you bring offensively to the Nuggets?

A little bit of leadership. I think I can get the guys organized and get guys the ball who need the ball and make the right decisions.

Kenneth Faried: And pass to The Manimal.

No.

Who is the funniest teammate on the Nuggets so far?

JJ.

What's your favorite cereal.

I don't eat cereal.

Why did you choose No. 28?

Well 14 was my number...

Kenneth Faried: It's how many years he's been in the league.

(Laughs) My son wears 28 and he always says he was going to be twice as good as me, so I stuck with 28.

Will you look into coaching after your career as a player?

I will never limit myself for whatever my path will be. I'll go down that path.

What inspires you to work hard and improve your game?

Just to be the best I can be. Not what people say about me - good or bad - just to be the best I can be.

What was your favorite NBA team growing up? Favorite player?

The Sixers were my favorite team and Charles Barkley and Allen Iverson were my favorite players.

How do you like Denver so far?

I love it. Great city, great people. Organization is good, team is good, everything is good.
