Faried to Play in NBA’s Africa Game This Summer

Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried will participate in the NBA's exhibition game in South Africa this summer.

Joining Faried for the Aug. 1 game in Johannesburg will be guard Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards, forward Serge Ibaka of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and center Gorgui Dieng of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the league announced Tuesday.

Faried and Beal will play for captain Chris Paul's Team World in the game, the NBA's first in Africa. Luol Deng of the Miami Heat, who was born in South Sudan, will lead Team Africa, with Ibaka and Dieng joining him.

More players will be announced at a later date.
