Denver Nuggets set to hold national anthem auditions Oct. 14

Aspiring singers will have opportunity to perform at preseason game

For the first time ever, the Denver Nuggets will be holding national anthem auditions open to the public on Monday, Oct. 14 at Pepsi Center.

The auditions will be comprised of two rounds judged by Nuggets Game Entertainment staff. Round 1 will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with contestants performing 20 seconds of a song of their choice. Those who advance to Round 2 will be asked to perform the national anthem on the main court at 3 p.m.

The final winner of the competition will perform that night at the Nuggets' preseason game against the San Antonio Spurs.

The first 200 audition participants will receive two (2) complimentary tickets to the game against the Spurs.

Those interested in auditioning should arrive at the West entrance of Pepsi Center at 10 a.m., Oct. 14; no pre-registration is required, but Nuggets attire is suggested.
