Denver Nuggets recall Miller, Stone from D-League

DENVER, Feb. 13, 2013 – The Denver Nuggets have recalled F Quincy Miller and G Julyan Stone from the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Masai Ujiri announced today.

Miller, 6-10, 219, averaged 11.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.39 blocks in 23 games (14 starts) for Iowa. Selected by the Nuggets 38th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft, he has appeared in one game for Denver this season.

Miller had been with the Energy since Dec. 27 after receiving his second D-League assignment of 2012-13.

Stone, 6-6, 200, averaged 3.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in six games (one start) with Iowa. Recovering from offseason hip surgery, he has played in two games for the Nuggets this season.

Stone’s assignment to Iowa on Jan. 29 marked his first trip to the D-League this season and second of his career. He played three games for the Idaho Stampede as a rookie in 2011-12.
