DENVER, June 27, 2013 – The Denver Nuggets have acquired the draft rights to No. 46 overall pick Erick Green, along with cash considerations, from the Utah Jazz in exchange for the draft rights to Rudy Gobert (27th overall), general manager/executive vice president of basketball operations Tim Connelly announced tonight.

Green, 6-3, 178, was the 2012-13 NCAA scoring leader, averaging 25.0 points as a senior at Virginia Tech. The versatile guard also averaged 4.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists for the Hokies.

Green was the 2012-13 ACC Player of the Year and was a third-team AP All-America selection. Despite limited playing time as a freshman and sophomore, he finished 10th on Virginia Tech’s career scoring list.

Green enrolled at Virginia Tech after leading Paul VI High School (Fairfax, Va.) to the state championship as a senior.
