DENVER, June 23, 2011 – The Denver Nuggets have acquired the draft rights to Chu Chu Maduabum (56th overall pick) from the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for a future second round pick.
Maduabum, a 6-9 forward from Nigeria, last played for the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA D-League. He appeared in three games for theJam and averaged 6.7 minutes per contest. Prior to his stint with Bakersfield, the 20-year-old played for the Dodan Warriors in Nigeria where he averaged 10.5 points, 12.3 rebounds and 3.00 blocks in 20.0 minutes per game.
