NEW YORK, March 7 -- Denver Nuggets center
Marcus Camby was named NBA Western Conference Player of the Week, the league announced today.
Camby averaged 14.0 ppg, 15.7 rpg, 4.7 apg, 4.33 bpg and 1.33 spg to help lead the Nuggets to a 3-0 week. He posted three-straight double-doubles in wins over Atlanta, Indiana and the Los Angeles Clippers. In Camby’s most impressive game, he scored 17 points and tallied 22 rebounds, a career-high-tying seven assists, seven blocked shots and a steal in a 96-87 win over the Pacers.

Camby becomes the 12th different Nugget to win Player of the Week honors and the first since Carmelo Anthony did so the last week of last season. The other Nuggets honored have been:
