Skita's Diary

Each day for the next week and a half, Nuggets lottery pick Nikoloz Tskitisvili will share with you what training camp is like from a rookie’s point of view. Training camp starts Tuesday, so be sure to check back and see how Skita’s first day goes.

Day One, Monday, September 30
Player Physicals & Media Day

All the players had to come in for physical exams at 8 o’clock this morning. Physicals were tough. We had to take a lot of different tests. It was strange man. You had to run over 15 minutes with like three, four minutes of warm-up and then 12 minutes fast running. But they put a mask with a tube over my mouth to make it very hard to breath. It was really hard. They had things from a machine strapped to my chest too. Let’s see what else. Oh, the bad one was for the eye test. It was terrible. Maybe you’ve had it. They put some drops in my eye and then made me look at lasers. I could not see for three hours. It was so scary. You can’t see anything. Terrible. It was crazy.

We had the afternoon off so Savo (Predrag Savovic) and I went to eat lunch. We had to come back to the arena at 4 (o’clock) to talk to the media. They all came in the locker room. It was like after the Draft, just giving everyone interviews. A lot of people asked me questions. It’s important for their job so I am glad to do it.

Training camp starts tomorrow and I am really excited about getting started. So I want to be ready for tomorrow, but I will write again then and tell you how I am doing.
