"Our effort tonight does not reflect how we played throughout the season. We had some players hurt tonight. Macrus Camby was hurting, Nene Hilario was out of the game, and Juwan Howard tweaked his ankle but did not want to come out of the game and that shows you what type of player he is. Nene was truly missed tonight. As I have said before, I think he is the best all around rookie in the league. I probably should not say this but some guys were playing exceptionally hard tonight for the Clippers. Some of the guys probably played harder than they had played all season long.
On Jeff Trepagnier:
"He played with desperate energy tonight. It shows why he was a draft pick in the league and why we are looking at him. We plan on playing from wire-to-wire this season. I told some of the guys that if they did not want to play that way they may not be here next year. The situation in Denver is very bright. You could have half of a new team next season, with draft picks and free agents."

"I was just trying to come off of the bench and be a spark. This is a great opportunity for me. The season is winding down, and the starters are not playing as much and I am just trying to do what I can."

"You can not put tonight’s loss on last night’s loss, it is a completely different game. We have to play tough each game. With Nene being out it makes a really big difference. We did not play our style of basketball tonight."
 Johnson |
"A win can cure a lot for a little while. We came out right from the start and played well. It was a big game for us to win. Our first group passed the ball, and rebounded very well. We started to let down in the third quarter, and we took a time out and said some things to some people. It feels good to win, and our guys played really well. We have been playing really hard. You do not want your guys to quit on you. They have worked out good and they are going well."

"We are trying to win whatever games we can and finish out the season strong. I got a little nervous in the fourth quarter when the Nuggets made a run and got it to 15 points. Marco Jaric hit some big shots, and got the lead back to 21. He shot the ball really well tonight."
