"Youthful mistakes that continue to haunt us and those have to be corrected for us to be a winning team. It comes down to our backcourt turning over the ball too much. The youthfulness of our guard play has hurt us all year."

On Nene Hilario’s play…
"Hilario is as good a rookie as there is in the NBA, not taking anything away from Yao Ming. He comes to play every game and continues to improve all season."

On Steve Francis…
"Steve Francis is what he is, an All Star. It’s as simple as that. He creates shots for others and for himself and he made timely shots at the end of the game."

On next game, Michael Jordan’s last in Denver…
"We are playing another team that really needs a win in the playoff race. Michael Jordan is one of the greatest players of all time and it will be a treat for me and all our players to play against him."

On the game…
"We were right there in the fourth quarter after we had battled back and we let guys get wide open shots and they hit them. It was a game of runs. We battled back but couldn’t get over the hump in the second half."

On Denver’s play…
"Our goal is to go out and play the role of spoilers the rest of the season. My job is to keep playing within the concept of the game and play team basketball."

"It’s very frustrating playing that hard and not being able to win. I though we played great on the defensive end but on offense we are not moving the ball well."

On the game…
"I thought it was a great team effort. Everyone came in and contributed well. We made plays late when it was crunch time and made stops when we were suppose to. I thought we had very good ball movement, swung it to the open guy and got good looks at the basket. This was a very good performance by our guys."

On Kelvin Cato’s performance…
"Kelvin was incredible. He came in and pretty much dominated the game. He was tough on the boards, a defensive force and scored 14 points. He had a very good performance tonight."

On current playoff standings…
"Right now we have nine games left and every loss is crucial to us. We are fighting for a playoff position and we just want to come out and take it one game at a time."

Francis

On the game…
"It was tough for us out there at times, but then again we were just trying to get everyone involved. I think it was one of the most complete games that we’ve played as a team. Being up early against a team like Denver, who really likes to scrap, it was kind of hard for us to focus on getting the game over. As a team, I think this was the first time we had seven guys in double figures. I thought it was a good job for us as a team. I think we did a good job of getting everybody involved tonight."

On Yao Ming…
"He’s practicing hard and if he continues to do his hard workouts, they (his shots) will start falling. There are times when even the best aren’t shooting well. He’s experienced enough to know that this is a tough time that he is going through and he will be able to get through it."

On his play tonight…
"It’s basketball. The guys, Steve (Francis) and everyone, found me in good position where I could put the ball in the basket and I did a good job, but I couldn’t make free throws, but that’s basketball. If we can do that every night, then anyone could score those points, and tonight it was possible for me."

Taylor

On the game…
"We moved the ball around a lot today and they (the Nuggets) were trapping all over the place, so it was easy to pick our spots and get guys involved. When we’re playing like this and getting guys involved, we are a much better team. We kept our same philosophy. We just came out and just tried to do what we try to do every game, to stop easy lay ups and get out and run. They (Denver) play the kind of style to try to slow us down and it worked to some extent, but we did what we had to do to get the ‘W’."
