Postgame Quotes - Nov. 13 at Pepsi Center

NUGGETS HEAD COACH JEFF BZDELIK
Bzdelik
"Every time you lose it really hurts. The guys really left it out on the floor tonight. If we could shoot we would be dangerous. We really missed Chris Whitney tonight, but you deal with the hand that you are dealt. We are asking a lot of an undrafted rookie especially when it comes to guarding Stephon Marbury. We are going to be really good someday. For those of you who do not think so, you do not see what I see. There is no substitute for experience. I just told the players that if they keep working hard they are going to be good."

NENE HILARIO, Nuggets forward

On playing against big men in the NBA:
"It is definitely getting easier everyday. I am really trying to focus on getting better at the little things, and through practice and hard work I think I am getting better and better and more comfortable out there."

On having an open three at the end of the game:
"I got the ball, and I wanted to take it but I knew it was not the play that we had designed, so I passed the ball off."

SUNS HEAD COACH FRANK JOHNSON

Johnson

"At halftime I told them we have more talent but they outworked us in the first half. I told them if we play with energy we could win the game. In the third quarter we got loose balls, and were more competitive on the boards. (Casey) Jacobsen came in and gave us a big lift. What it comes down to is defense, we hang our hats on the defensive end. Amare Stoudamire was truly amazing. Penny (Hardaway) quietly gets us into our stuff. He had a big pass to Scott Williams on a pick and roll. He is getting it done, he has been great, a calming influence. Stephon (Marbury) had a solid game, he hit two big free throws down the stretch."

SHAWN MARION, Suns forward

Marion

"We played with a lot of energy tonight, the break may have helped us. We came out strong in the second half. They were killing us on the boards and second shots in the first half. In the third quarter we really worked hard to limit their shots and their rebounds. They had some good post ups at the end, Juwan Howard especially hit some big shots inside. At the end we knew they wanted a three so we worked hard to limit what kind of looks they got."
