Feeling a Draft

The Nuggets found arguably the best player in the draft last year with the third overall pick. Having the same success with the 20th pick this year will be a bit more challenging. However, a look back at NBA Draft's past reveals plenty of good players plucked in the 20s.

The Nuggets have never picked 20th. However, past 20th picks include former All-Star Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Golden State point guard Speedy Claxton.

The Spurs picked up Tony Parker with the 28th overall pick in 2001, while Indiana's Jamal Tinsley went one selection ahead of him. In 1999, Utah drafted All-Star forward Andrei Kirilenko with the 24th overall selection. Detroit's Tayshaun Prince, currently enjoying a breakout postseason, was selected 23rd overall in 2002.

Will the Nuggets find someone who can help them next year with the 20th pick? Will they opt for a young player they can develop? Perhaps they'll draft a foreign player and allow him to continue to develop overseas. There are so many scenarios, it should keep fans buzzing until draft day.
