Four make cut from 205 to join Nuggets Rookie/Free Agent Camp
Jimmy King, Nick Mohr, Ben Adams and Jermaine Mason were selected from a group of 205 players to participate in the Denver Nuggets Rookie/Free Agent Camp, July 16-18 at the Pepsi Center.
The Nuggets held an open tryout today, guaranteeing that three players would be brought to the camp. They exceeded their expectations and took four players. One player will be picked to join the Nuggets entry in the Rocky Mountain Revue summer league in Salt Lake City July 19-27.
King, 28, played in two games for the Nuggets in 1996-97 and was a member of the University of Michigan’s famed “Fab Five” recruiting class. At Michigan, he was a teammate of current Nugget Juwan Howard.
Mohr, 22, was a four-year letterman at the University of Colorado, completing his college eligibility this spring.
Mason, 22, played at Denver East High School and recently at the University of Southern Colorado.
Adams, 23, is from Houma, La. He played at Copiah Lincoln Community College and has played professionally in Europe.
