Nuggets Draft Powe, Trade Him to Celtics
Denver selected California forward Leon Powe with the 49th overall pick in Wednesday's NBA Draft. The Nuggets then dealt Powe's rights to Boston for a 2007 second-round pick. With this acquisition, the Nuggets now potentially have four picks in the 2007 NBA Draft. Most experts are considering next year's draft to be one of the deepest in years.

Oh What A Night!!
Although the Nuggets weren't overly active in this year's draft, there was no shortage of action throughout the two rounds. Of the 60 selections taken in the Jun. 28 draft, 18 of them were later traded to a different team on draft night, including two picks (No. 7 Randy Foye and No. 45 Alexander Johnson) that were traded twice. Overall, the 2006 NBA Draft was surprisingly exciting despite the undisputed lack of star power available in the lottery.
