Four Players Earn Invites to Nuggets Rookie/Free Agent Camp

DENVER, June 28, 2003 -- Ganon Baker, Kevin Fletcher, Ramon Taylor and Pierre Wooten were selected from a group of over 200 players to participate in the Denver Nuggets Rookie/Free Agent Camp, July 7-12 at the Pepsi Center.

The Nuggets held an open tryout today, guaranteeing that three players would be brought to the camp. They exceeded their expectations and took four players. One player will be picked to join the Nuggets entry in the L.A. Summer Pro League in Long Beach, Calif., July 12-17.

Baker, 30, was named to the Atlantic-10 Conference All-Rookie Team following his freshman year at Duquesne University before transferring to the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. He has also played professionally in Iceland.

Fletcher, 23, played at Denver East High School and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. He spent the 2003-03 season playing professionally in the LCB league of Portugal.

Taylor, 22, is from Louisville, Ky. and played at Eastern Illinois University from 2001-2003.

Wooten, 22, is from Cincinnati and played at Winthrop (S.C.) University from 1998-2003.
