Regular season to tip off at home vs. Northwest Division rival Utah

Nuggets Announce 2009-10 Schedule

DENVER, Aug. 4, 2009 -- Coming off an appearance in the 2009 Western Conference Finals, the Denver Nuggets will tip off the 2009-10 regular season against two division rivals. The Nuggets will open the season by hosting the Utah Jazz at the Pepsi Center on Wednesday, Oct. 28 before traveling to Portland to face the Trail Blazers the following night. Additionally, nine of Denver’s first 13 games of the season will be played away from the Pepsi Center, including a season-long six-game road trip from Nov. 3 to Nov. 11.

The Nuggets will be featured on national television 29 times during the 2009-10 season (10 on TNT, nine on ESPN, seven on NBATV and three on ABC). Most notably, Denver will be featured on ESPN Christmas Day taking on the Trail Blazers in Portland, which marks only the third Christmas Day game in Nuggets team history (1979 and 1994 the others). More than 70 non-exclusive games will be aired on Altitude or Altitude 2, while all televised games on Altitude this season will be available in HD.

The four Western Conference teams the Nuggets will play just three times in 2009-10 are Dallas, Houston, Sacramento and the Los Angeles Clippers.
